Project 365: It's Back
Project 365 is back and I am ready to start keeping up again now that Luke and I are a little more acquainted at home =) The last post I did was Day 284, two days before Luke was born. I am skipping about a month and am picking back up at Fathers Day, Day 320. Just 45 more days until I am done with this year's photo documenting.
Day 320 - Sunday, June 19th
Happy 1st Fathers Day Gino! I have no doubt this little boy is going to want to be just like you, his awesome Dad!
Day 321 - Monday, June 20th
"I'm one cool dude. Yes, that's a shark in my reflection!"

Luke Every 2 Weeks
Hi everyone,
Well, it has been a while since I have been able to update the blog. I gave myself permission to take a month off while Luke, Gino, and I get used to our new life. Luke was born on May 16th, 2011 and has brightened our lives beyond imaginable. He was 4 weeks old yesterday and I now finally feel like I am getting settled into a schedule to where I can get more accomplished each day. Oh, and it helps that his night time sleep schedule is very manageable lately.
I have a lot to catch up on including Project 365, more pictures of Luke, house projects, invitation designs, etc. and hope to do that over the next few months while I am off work. In the meantime, I have a new post series that will feature photos of our little man's growth every 2 weeks. A few of my favorite blogs (Young House Love & Making it Lovely) feature photos of their little ones either weekly or monthly so Gino and I thought every 2 weeks would be a good pace to capture Luke's growth over his first year of his life. Here are his first photos from the past month.

Project 365:273-284
Day 273 - Tuesday, May 3rd
Delicious homemade mango salsa. I even used cilantro from the garden.

Day 274 - Wednesday, May 4th
This is his don't mess with me face.

Day 275 - Thursday, May 5th
Happy Cinco De Mayo. The bartender at Ernesto's was slightly distracted and accidentally made my strawberry virgin margarita with tequila. Don't worry, Gino tested it and sent it back =)

Day 276 - Friday, May 6th
Last day of work before my summer off. I can't wait to use more of these cookbooks.

Day 277 - Saturday, May 7th
Happy wedding day to Jen & Chris. So happy to be there with you guys to celebrate. It was a lovely wedding!

Day 278 - Sunday, May 8th
Happy Mother's Day! Thank you mom for all of your continued love and support. Luke is so lucky to get you as his grandma!

Day 279 - Monday, May 9th
Soon the photos around our house will get replaced with our new addition, I can't wait!

Day 280 - Tuesday, May 10th
I had to have fresh flowers in the house to welcome Luke home!

Day 281 - Wednesday, May 11th
Almost the due date, wishing I don't have to go to the Dr. apt. tomorrow but chances are high that I will.

Day 282 - Thursday, May 12th
Ok, due date came and went so we decided to have a picnic in the park to distract us.

Day 283 - Friday, May 13th
Still no baby but Lynda came over to add the puff mama (knot ottoman stuffed with a down blanket) to Luke's room. Thank you so much! I love love love it.

Day 284 - Saturday, May 14th
We were on our way to the dog park early Saturday morning and Ponzo happened to run across the street just as a car was coming down the road. He got hit and got very banged up, but came away from the accident with no serious injuries. We are so thankful and blessed that he is OK just really sore and will take a few days to fully recover.

Project 365: 260-272
Day 260 - Wednesday, April 20th
Love the character of our 1930's letter slot.
The strawberries are on their way, I can't wait!
Shopping done for the Easter Sunday meal. Most of this is for the turkey brine.
Day 263 - Saturday, April 23rd
Our big man waits so patiently outside the coffee shop for us. What a good boy!
Day 264 - Sunday, April 24th
Happy Easter. Hope you all had a nice and blessed Easter Sunday. Our deep fried turkey worked out well. They were basically watching the oil heat up, sounds fun huh!
Day 265 - Monday, April 25th
More notecards for a clients baby shower hostess gift. Contact me if you would like some of your own.
Day 266 - Tuesday, April 26th
Packed and ready to go to the hospital, lets get this baby out!
Day 267 - Wednesday, April 27th
Ponzo and Posey playing up a storm. Posey didn't care that he was like 6 times her size, they had fun!
Day 268 - Thursday, April 28th
On set at another cookbook photo shoot.
Day 269 - Friday, April 29th
Still in bloom.
Day 270 - Saturday, April 30th
Spent the first part of the day at the Fair Oaks parade with Lynda, Haley, and Heather (and Paul for a little). Haley rode in the parade for the Dolphin's swim team and later we watched Heather play on the bouncy structures. Lovely day.
Day 271 - Sunday, May 1st
11 days away from the due date (38.5 weeks) and I really can't wait to meet this little guy. I keep telling him it's ok to come already but who knows when he will be ready. I really hope not much longer than my due date.
Day 272 - Monday, May 2nd
Americans remember the lives lost on 9/11 and are prod of our troops for not giving up on the fight against terrorism.
