Project 365: The Holidays

Day 143 - Wednesday, December 22nd
Downtown Los Gatos. We missed the big light display but took a nice stroll through the downtown area.


Day 144 - Thursday, December 23rd
Mickey and his pretty Christmas sweater! Thanks Mickey and Melissa for the delicious dinner.


Day 145 - Friday, December 24th
Christmas Eve at the Sciandris.


Day 146 - Saturday, December 25th
Merry Christmas. My parents and my Grandma and Rick, what nice looking couples.


Day 147 - Sunday, December 26th
Happy Birthday Dad!


Day 148 - Monday, December 27th
The back yard without plants. Gino planted a lot yesterday, they look great. More photos to come soon!

Day 136 - Wednesday, December 15th - Started gift wrapping.


Day 137 - Thursday, December 16th - I think I will decorate the tree with this color scheme next year.


Day 138 - Friday, December 17th - A cute little sock monkey I got from my work holiday party. I think baby Sciandri will like this!


Day 139 - Saturday, December 18th - I decided to make the Chocolate-Peanut Butter Moon Pie Cookie recipe for our family holiday party/ornament exchange. My marshmallow filling was a little gooey but they ended up tasting good. I would give myself a B for this try at baking.


Day 140 - Sunday, December 19th - A great time with family filled with laughs and interesting "ornaments" in the exchange.


Day 141 - Monday, December 20th - Gino loves the ornament we went home with, a Michael Jackson Jukebox singing ornament.


Day 142 - Tuesday, December 21st - Packaged up, tagged, and ready to deliver our Christmas gifts to our families.

The bump is starting to become more noticeable. This is from today at 18.5 weeks.

Holiday Cookies

Every year my family gets together before Christmas to exchange cookies and ornaments. Some people come with their same favorite cookies each year and others mix it up. I try to be creative each year and considering that I am a better cook than I am a baker, I have had my share of cookie flops. Each year I try to come up with something different, fun, and delicious. This year, I tried to search for cookie recipes that looked delicious but that might be easy enough for my baking skill level. The party is on Sunday so I have a week to decide but let me know if any of these sound especially delicious to you that you think I should try this year. Or if you have another awesome cookie recipe, send it my way!

As far as the ornament exchange goes, that is a whole other story. I seem to flop in the department as well but it's the thought that counts right!?

Day 131 - Friday, December 10th
Christmas shopping at Arden wasn't too bad this year.


Day 132 - Saturday, December 11th
I can't help but laugh, is that bad? Every time Gino blows the leaves we come home to more covering the lawn. He had just raked them up a few hours before this.


Day 133 - Sunday, December 12th
Sunday funday at the 49er game. Tailgate was great and they even won!

Our Ginko tree is finally turning bright yellow before the leaves fall off.


Day 129 - Wednesday, December 7th
Aw, what a nice hubby. Loved coming home to dinner on the table. Lemon chicken was delicious!

First item I have purchased for the baby. According to the cosmo's, our baby will be a friendly taurus baby! That is if it is actually born between April 20 & May 20th.

Fresh pancakes and fruit for my Monday morning breakfast. The only thing missing is a nice hot coffee!

Day 113- Monday, November 22
We have the best friends in the world! Thanks for bringing an ice cream cake to celebrate our 2 year anniversary with us.

Almost ready to transition my holiday decorations from fall to christmas with this cute little tree.

Day 115 - Wednesday, November 24
Out with good friends and family to listen to great music the night before Thanksgiving.

We made the best of our rainy day in Capitola at the Wharf bar and had a visitor outside wishing he could come in from the rain.
